Drs Anna Joy and Dumitru Iacobas have been promoted to the research faculty at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Roy G. Perry College of Engineering, Prairie View A&M University. Prior joining the Center for Computational Systems Biology, Dr. Anna Joy came from Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix Arizona where she was a Research Associate Professor and before that was an Associate Scientist at TGen, The Translational Genomics Research Institute, also in Phoenix AZ. While at the Barrow Dr. Joy was awarded $644,000 in funding from the National Institutes of Health and $155,000 in institutional funds. Dr. Dumitru Iacobas came from New York Medical College, has 3 patents in microelectrophysiology, 7 books (22 editions in Romanian, English, Spanish and Greek), 83 peer-reviewed articles (12 as single author, 38 as first author and 11 as last author), 25 book chapters and conference proceedings. 73 genomic data sets were deposited in the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) of the NIH National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).
